This lamp fixture has the porcelain socket required for safe operation of the ceramic heat emitter. It also features a 360 degree swivel joint for easier positioning and more control over keeping the lamp fixture out of the reach of a curious sugar glider.

If the lamp will not clamp directly to the cage due to the configuration of the cage wire / surface, this lamp can be clamped to a chair, table, shelf, window sill, or some other household furnishing to provide the directed heat toward the critter habitat. For maximum safety, position the end of the bulb cage no closer than 3" from the cage wall; this will provide 6" of space between the surface of the emitter bulb and the cage wall (glider tails are usually about 6" long).
